Justin is a strategic thinker who enjoys opportunities for social innovation through products and services. He has created product concepts for Honda, functioning prototypes for home goods solutions, and physical therapy tools. He served as a guest speaker and panelist at an IDSA chapter conference at the University of Houston and designed an interactive exhibit at the California Academy of Sciences.
Recently obtaining his MBA in Design Strategy at the California College of the Arts has improved his research, analysis, and business innovation skills. Furthermore, Justin interacted with startups and small businesses in Silicon Valley to create innovative solutions by engaging stakeholders, iterating concepts, and synthesizing data to make recommendations. Justin also collaborated with Toyota in their Design Mobility Challenge to address issues of accessibility to public transportation in rural communities.
A Baton Rouge native, Justin has served in various positions prior to his time in the San Francisco. He was a civil/structural designer for a private construction engineering company serving Fortune 500 companies in the petrochemical industry throughout Greater Baton Rouge. He has worked in East Baton Rouge Parish School System, as well as offered tutoring services for grades K-12. Passionate about education and community outreach, Justin has been an active member in every community he encounters. From serving at festivals in Lafayette or production design at children’s camps in Missouri, to branding and logo design for a local non-profit organization in Baton Rouge, Justin has a hunger for seeing his surroundings grow.
Justin obtained his bachelor’s degree in industrial design from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, developing skills in fabrication, prototyping, CAD modeling, and product presentation. Justin is proficient in 2D tools including the Adobe Creative Suite and 3D tools including SolidWorks, Rhinoceros3D, and AutoCAD.
