Alyson is a communications professional with expertise rooted in strategic communication, research and data analysis, and stakeholder outreach and engagement, as well as media relations. In her role as a consultant at Emergent Method, Alyson provides key support across a range of subject matters to both the firm’s consulting teams and the clients the firm serves.
Her recent experience includes working with clients such as the Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority, where she serves as a member of the Outreach and Engagement Team for Louisiana’s 2017 Comprehensive Master Plan for a Sustainable Coast.
Alyson also served as a member of the content development team for the deployment of eight regional quality-of-life websites for a project overseen by Louisiana Economic Development targeted at addressing the state’s noted workforce shortages across a number of industries.
Prior to joining Emergent Method, Alyson was a reporter for The Desert Sun in Palm Springs, California, where she contributed to national political news coverage that earned a “Best of Gannett” award in 2013. She has also served as news editor at Louisiana State University’s newspaper, The Daily Reveille, where she managed an interactive, data-based project that earned a “Mark of Excellence” award from the Society of Professional Journalists.
Alyson received her Bachelor of Arts in political communication from Louisiana State University’s Manship School of Mass Communication.
