Director of Human Resources
Leslie Austin is an experienced human resource executive with expertise ranging from HR compliance and benefits administration to payroll management and personnel trainings. As part of the senior leadership team, she is responsible for leading and executing all human resource initiatives for Emergent Method, as well as Emergent Talent – a division of Emergent Method used to support clients on large-scale project staffing needs.
Before joining Emergent Method in 2018, Leslie served as chief operations officer for HR Solutions, a leading human resource management service provider for the southern U.S., where she spent the past ten years serving in a number of human resources, benefits management, and labor and employment law compliance roles. Most recently, Leslie served as a member of the company’s executive team where she was responsible for strategic oversight of the company’s five core operating sectors in human resources, safety, information technology, benefits, and payroll.
Leslie is a graduate of Louisiana State University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Physics and her Juris Doctor and Bachelor of Civil Law from the LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center. She is extremely active in the human resource industry, holding certifications such as the Society for Human Resource Management’s Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) and the Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR) certification. In addition, she is a graduate of the Baton Rouge Area Chamber’s 2017 Leadership Baton Rouge program and actively volunteers with a number of local non-profit organizations in and around the Baton Rouge area.
