JOB DESCRIPTION
Emergent Talent, a division of Emergent Method, is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Interface Lead on a large-scale system implementation project. This is a full-time, remote position on an ongoing project.
The ideal candidate is flexible, able to work in a fast-paced environment, adept in handling a wide range of tasks, and willing to embrace the challenges associated with complex implementation projects.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Review and assess current interfaces and data batches.
- Work with business partners to test interfaces, and address issues and exceptions that occur during processing.
- Coordinate internal and client teams to complete interface workstreams and to prioritize high priority system issues for upcoming releases.
- Contribute and participate in all phases of the development life cycle.
- Facilitate, design, and develop technical solutions for new and existing interfaces.
- Collaborate with developers, system analysts, business users, and project managers to resolve issues for the system.
- Understand and interpret technical documentation.
- Assist in triaging and assessing the impact of defects and issues related to interfaces and batches.
- Use strong communication, analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Learn new technologies and additional skills quickly.
QUALIFICATIONS
Ideal candidates should possess the following knowledge, skills, and/or abilities.
- Strong SQL experience.
- Strong communication skills used to bridge communication gaps between business partners and development teams.
- Ability to manage the expectations of multiple interface partners while understanding their needs.
- Proficiency in Core Java and Web Services (such as Rest, Soap, JSON).
- Knowledgeable in workflow system concepts, in-baskets, and roles.
- Experience in SDLC software (such as JIRA).
- Self-motivated and deadline-oriented to ensure tasks are completed without supervision.
- Experience in Agile development methodologies.
- Ability to adapt, be a team player, and foster a cooperative environment with the project team.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Expertise or relevant experience in the following areas are desirable but not mandatory:.
- – Basic understanding of public sector domain.
- – Automation testing.
Preferred qualifications:
- Prior experience related to education or training.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
