Katia Schettino is an emergency management professional with experience in political affairs, communication, and policy. She joined Emergent Method in 2021 as a consultant, where she supports multiple large-scale disaster recovery initiatives and programs through policy analysis and public outreach.
Prior to joining Emergent Method, Katia served as a communications and outreach intern at Innovative Emergency Management (IEM), where she developed standard operation procedures (SOPs), developed outreach and engagement strategies to increase public awareness of program and funding opportunities, and increased positive public perception of several disaster recovery programs. Prior to this role, Katia served as a marketing intern for the Institute for Nonprofit Innovation and Excellence, and held other communications related internships for public-sector and political organizations.
Katia holds a Bachelor of Science in international affairs with a concentration in public administration from Florida State University, and a minor in communications.
