Derrick is an expert project manager with broad industry experience in operations management, including project scheduling and budget management. In his role as a consultant at Emergent Method, he provides technical advisory services and oversight on large infrastructure and disaster recovery programs.
Prior to joining Emergent Method, Derrick served as an operations manager for International Manufacturers Representatives. In this role, he directly supervised project personnel, maintained current company policies and procedures, and managed corporate projects within budgetary guidelines. Previously, Derrick worked in Lafayette and Houston, Texas on several multi-million-dollar projects, including the rehabilitation of the Milton Bridge and renovation of the Houston Chronicle building. In these roles, he managed high-level project operations by overseeing bidding processes, performing budget and cost analyses, organizing stakeholder meetings, working closely with architects and engineers in reviewing drawings and specifications, and providing on-site management to ensure quality control and completion of project milestones.
Derrick graduated from Louisiana State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management. Additionally, he is OSHA 30 Certified.
