Jennifer Perkins

Manager

Jennifer is an experienced outreach and engagement, community affairs, and project management consultant with over 12 years of experience working on local, state, and federal programs. As a manager, Jennifer leads various strategic communication, public outreach, and policy initiatives within the firm’s public sector practice. 

Jennifer currently serves as the Outreach Director for the State of Louisiana’s Restore Louisiana Homeowner Assistance Program, where she leads community and grassroots outreach efforts and serves as a liaison across several program departments related to the coordination of policy-based communication and implementation. 

Jennifer joined Emergent Method in 2020 after gaining extensive experience as a consultant and subject matter expert immersed in various aspects of several federally funded grant programs, including Hazard Mitigation Grant and Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery programs overseen by the Federal Emergency Management Agency and U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. An expert in policy interpretation, quality control procedures, emergency preparedness, and compliance, her unique skill set allows her to bridge the gap between public sector agencies and the constituents they serve. 

Jennifer is an active member of the Capital Region Area Floodplain Task Force’s Community Rating System (CRAFT) user group, where she assisted with the development and implementation of CRAFT’s Multi-Jurisdictional Program for Public Information.
