John Snow is an experienced management consultant with expertise rooted in organizational design, strategy, and operational planning. He is focused on improving the performance of organizations and communities throughout the U.S. and across various sectors such as government, economic development, technology, infrastructure, and health care.
Over the past 14 years, John has worked on numerous organizational and strategic planning initiatives for local, state, and regional public, private, and nonprofit organizations. His experience includes leading multiple economic development and workforce planning initiatives for Louisiana Economic Development, leading an economic and community impact study for the Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport, leading the development of a target industry validation study for the Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance focused on identifying emerging opportunities to support the sustained economic growth for one of the most populous regions in the U.S., leading a comprehensive market ecosystem assessment study for a large metro area, developing public policy informed by broad stakeholder input for one of the fastest growing regions of the U.S., and managing a multi-year planning effort to re-organize a public sector agency consisting of nearly 1,000 employees responsible for implementing more than $2 billion in capital programs. In recent years, John has led the strategic planning process for numerous organizations throughout Louisiana, including the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury, the City of Alexandria, the City of Baton Rouge/Parish of East Baton Rouge, the ALS Association Louisiana-Mississippi Chapter, Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center, the Louisiana Budget Project, the Baton Rouge Blues Foundation, the Baton Rouge Soccer Club, Crossroads NOLA, Heritage Ranch, Visit Baton Rouge, and many more.
In 2011, John was named to the Greater Baton Rouge Business Report’s “Forty Under 40” list in recognition of his career and entrepreneurial success, balancing bottom-line results with involvement in community and charitable activities. He is a 2012 graduate of the Baton Rouge Area Chamber’s Leadership Baton Rouge program and a 2014 graduate of the Council for A Better Louisiana’s Leadership Louisiana Class. He also serves on several local and regional boards of directors such as the Louisiana Highway Safety Commission, LSU Manship School of Mass Communication’s Alumni Executive Board, and past-president of Baton Rouge’s Downtown Business Association. In 2020, Consulting Magazine named John a “Rising Star of the Consulting Profession in Strategy Consulting,” a prestigious honor given annually to high-performing consultants throughout the world recognized as leaders in their respective geographies and disciplines.
He earned two degrees from Louisiana State University, including his Bachelor of Arts in Advertising from the Manship School of Mass Communication and his Master of Business Administration from the E.J. Ourso School of Business – Flores MBA Program.
