Senior Consultant
Melanie H. Turner is an experienced project manager with expertise in strategic planning, higher education administration, event planning, public engagement, and program implementation. As a senior consultant at Emergent Method, Melanie leverages her experience in data and research to implement new initiatives and programs across a variety of systems, lead community engagement and outreach, and support strategic planning projects for a number of higher education and public sector clients.
Prior to joining Emergent Method, Melanie served as strategy director for Complete College America where she led institutional transformation projects, contributed to national and regional policy, and implemented several college completion efforts across the country focused on increasing completion rates and closing equity gaps prevalent in higher education. She has previously served as implementation project manager for Blackboard where she crafted detailed project launch plans and managed community engagement initiatives for the organization. Melanie also served as coordinator of Student Success Initiatives at Georgia State University.
Melanie currently serves as a Champions Board Member for the Last Mile Education Fund and has held leadership roles of NASPA: Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education where she remains an active member.
